Drury Unveils Plan to Serve Free Hot Food & Cold Beverages
ST. LOUIS, MO (HOTELS-STL.com), December 4, 2009 - Drury Hotels has begun the rollout of free hot food and cold beverages to all Drury Inn, Drury Suites, Drury Inn & Suites and Drury Plaza locations. Drury's new 5:30 KickbackSM will feature a variety of evening food and drink items and will be served at all hotels by early 2010.
"With budgets tightening for both families and businesses during these tough economic times," stated Chuck Drury, President and CEO of Drury Hotels Company. "We wanted to create something that would make traveling easier and less expensive for our guests."
The introduction of the 5:30 Kickback further supports Drury's commitment to provide travelers with the very best value in lodging. As their tagline The Extras Aren't Extra® suggests, nickel-and-diming is not the norm at this family-owned and operated system of hotels. Drury was the first in its segment to offer free hot breakfast seven days a week, free evening beverages seven days a week, free long-distance calls, and will now be the first to offer free hot food in the evening, seven days a week. All Drury hotels also offer free wireless Internet, business centers and swimming pools.
Chicken fingers, baked potatoes, buffalo-style chicken wings, charbroiled meatballs, fresh carrots and celery, egg rolls, garden salad, hot dogs and more will be a part of Drury's rotating menu, served every evening from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. At the 5:30 Kickback Drury will also continue to serve a variety of free cold beverages, including beer, wine, mixed drinks and soft drinks (alcohol service is subject to state and local law).
Drury's free amenities, friendly staff and Drury-built quality have helped the hotel system earn numerous industry awards. The Drury Inn & Suites brand has been recognized for four consecutive years (2006 through 2009) by J.D. Power and Associates as "Highest in Guest Satisfaction Among Mid-Scale Limited Service Hotel Chains" in the firm's North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index StudySM. J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information firm that represents the voice of the customer.
Drury Hotels Company is a Missouri-based, family-owned and operated hotel system with more than 130 hotels in 20 states, from Arizona to North Carolina and from Texas to Michigan. Brands include Drury Inn & Suites, Drury Inn, Drury Plaza Hotels, Drury Suites, Pear Tree Inn by Drury and other hotels in the mid-priced hotel segment.
