Hilton St. Louis Ballpark Hotel Undergoes
$16 Million Renovation

ST. LOUIS, (SLFP.com), March 19, 2006 - The $16 million renovation Hilton St. Louis Ballpark Hotel in downtown St. Louis features a complete re-design of the hotel's main entry with a new drop-off area and cantilevered canopy at Broadway, just north of the new Busch Stadium.

The implementation of this new contemporary image hotel design continues into the lobby and registration area with updated finishes through-out the public areas, including the soft seating, bar areas, and circulation corridors. The Starbucks Cafe will be completely redesigned, relocated, and enlarged to a prominent location in the hotel lobby. A new business center has been added. The ballrooms and meeting rooms will be updated with new lighting and finishes.

Hilton St. Louis Ballpark Lobby The new finishes include two colors of granite floor tile with patterned carpeted areas throughout the lobby and circulation areas. The new wall finished include stained hardwood panels, stainless steel and glass handrails with decorative glass column that are back lit to provide a dramatic impact in the lobby. The new gypsum boards and suspended ceilings have decorative pendant and recessed down light fixtures throughout the new lobby area and a new linear fireplace with stone veneer panels.

The reception area will feature deep wenge finished woodwork, offset by the rich tones of chocolate brown granite and limestone floor. The color palette for the fabrics and carpets in the lobby will feature dark chocolate brown with rust and taupe accents.

The front desk will be one of the most striking elements of the Lobby, comprised of three island reception areas constructed of backlite glass, granite and wenge finished wood.

An upscale lobby bar will be added to the Broadway side of the lobby. Custom designed light fixtures, carpet and fabric will contribute to the warm cosmopolitan ambiance of the space.

The same finishes and details of the public areas will be translated to the guestrooms. They will feature a color palette of greys and taupes with gold accents to create a warm, welcoming cocoon for guests. Special amenities will be offered to provide for a 4 star experience. All custom designed case goods, fabrics and lighting will provide a clean c contemporary look.

The artwork will feature vintage photography of the early days of the Brown and Cardinal baseball teams, reminding guests of days of the past mingled with the comfort and style of today.

Robert O'Loughlin, President and CEO of Lodging Hospitality Management, new owners and operators of the Hilton St. Louis Ballpark Hotel, has Paric Corporation handling re-construction; ACI/ Boland as architects; and, Harrick Group as interior designers.
